Vance raised the possibility that the Antichrist might already be present among humanity, citing certain trends in modern society that he finds concerning from a religious standpoint. One specific area he criticized is the increasing reliance on artificial intelligence within personal relationships. He characterized the use of AI as a replacement for human interaction as “kind of satanic,” arguing that authentic human connections are essential for meaningful relationships.
The vice-president also recounted experiences where he felt a sense of spiritual darkness during meetings with global leaders. He described how certain conversations or remarks could set off what he referred to as a “spiritual alarm bell,” signaling a deeper unease about the direction of such discussions.
Vance went on to defend President Donald Trump in relation to an AI-generated image that depicted Trump in a Christ-like manner. He clarified that Trump had no intention of mocking Christianity or presenting himself as a divine figure, suggesting instead that the image was meant to be humorous.
